Dear Janet:
It will soon be a full year since Recreation Playsystems installed the unique, sprawling, blue and silver play structure at Empire Public School. Although school rules forbid the children to play on the structure during these icy months they are just as eager now to "take off' on their big blue machine as they were to clamber aboard and try it out for the first time last June.
I wanted to take this opportunity, on behalf of the Empire School Council, to offer our sincere thanks for your perseverance and dedication to making this project work for us. As you know our committee came to you with a vision, even some preliminary designs, of a dream play structure but also with the sobering knowledge that the dream would have to be tempered by Canadian Standards Association (CSA) safety requirements.
With your knowledge and experience and the creativity of your design team you guided us through what can be a bewildering array of information and decisions. Most importantly, Janet, you really listened to us and combined your expertise with our needs and wants (and wild ideas!) to come up with a design that is a shining example of collaboration. That's professionalism!
One of our goals was to create a play structure that would accommodate many children involved in a variety of activities at any given time. Arriving at school one fine morning last fall I observed dozens of children at once moving up, down, over, under, around, and on the structure and I knew this goal had been achieved.
Our committee was satisfied with the planning process, the product, and the service and continues to recommend Recreation Playsystems to other schools. We wish you well as Recreation Playsystems continues to create its fine product right here in Waterloo and to demonstrate its reputation for quality and service in many other communities.
The Empire community looks forward to a continued positive relationship with Recreation Playsystems.
